Well it's been a while since the last time I was able to get on here and update! And so much has happened. Addie is army crawling now and sleeping solid from 8pm until about 4 or 5am (then she thinks it's time to play!). She is eating a ton of solids- her favorite of which is peas. She's not a fan of plain store bought sweet potatoes (although she is fond of the home-made version) and fresh bananas must have a weird texture (she makes funny faces and shutters when I offer them!) but everything else is fair game! She's also gumming some melt-away puffs- she loves to feed herself! We've attempted to start the sippy cup but right now she's more playing around than anything.
Addie attended her first Thanksgiving BBQ at Nana & Papaw's- and she was dressed to impress: she wore her John Deere overalls!

For Thanksgiving we flew down to Dallas to visit my dad, stepmom, brother and sister. It was a little rough on the trip down...Addie refused to take a nap and let EVERYONE in the airport know just how irritated she was (I was sweating bullets...). But the adventures of no-nap girl had a happy ending- she finally went off to sleep during the take off and didn't wake up until we were almost there. When we left Charlotte it was around 70 degrees...when we landed in the Lonestar state is was FREEZING- literally! And while we were eating Thanksgiving dinner (and watching the Cowboys play football of course), it started to snow! Crazy! Can you see those snowflakes??

We had a great time relaxing and hanging out with my family and they had a great time playing with Addie! Even Tucker, the puppy, enjoyed playing with Addie...okay, well at least her toys.

Once we got back from Dallas, it was off to Boone to get a Christmas tree (from only the best Christmas tree farm ever- Greene's Choose & Cut!!) and to stop in for a quick visit with Medora, Jeff & family. The Christmas season was in full swing! We party hopped and Christmas shopped and couldn't believe time flew by so quickly! Addie loved Christmas- she really loved the tissue paper which, if it wasn't for her passy, would have been headed straight to her mouth!

There was a special present hidden in Addie's stocking on Christmas morning- daddy had gotten her a tiny pearl bracelet. It's so precious, with a tiny silver cross on it. And for mommy? A pearl ring to match with Addie's birth date engraved on the inside! What a special Christmas.
After the Christmas celebration in Winston, we headed to Charlotte to celebrate with the Martins. Addie got to hang out with her cousin Zayne, Gigi & Poppi, while all the mommies and daddies rang in the New Year. 2007 was an awesome year- can't wait to see what 2008 has in store!
